Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been achieved on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his first championship for 882 days with success over Corentin Moutet in the competition championship match.
The Russian, a former number one, has endured a challenging year, achieving just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and eventually splitting with former trainer his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a hard-fought three-set win over challenger Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first trophy since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt since March of the previous year.
Victory also signifies the Russian has won 21 victories at 21 various competitions.
"It's the first time I'm at a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on court had prompted observers to question if his ability to perform at the top level was over.
But the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, supported by an enhanced service.
The champion fought back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a third set.
The opponent defended four initial break points in a competitive deciding set before the champion won the break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he earned victory with a point at the front of the court, with the Frenchman unable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
